Talk legal to me
Last Modified: September 16, 2024
We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for INBOUND 2025. For complete details on the terms that apply to registration and other important information, please read below.
REGISTRATION AND RATES
Once you complete the purchase of your registration, the purchase and rate are final and won’t be adjusted later. It is your responsibility to confirm that the price displayed at checkout is the price that you expect and agree to pay before you complete your purchase.
We may offer a promotional, coupon, discount, or similar code (collectively “promotional codes”), as part of a limited-time sale. These codes are generally tied to a specific pass (for example, the VIP Pass) or to a group of passes, and their value cannot be applied towards another pass or another group of passes, including if you upgrade to a different pass later. Promotional codes cannot be applied retroactively to a previously completed purchase.
If you are purchasing group tickets, we may register your attendees for you using the names and email addresses you provide. You are responsible for obtaining your attendees’ permission to share their personal information with INBOUND and for INBOUND, its vendors, HubSpot, and/or INBOUND event sponsors to use their information as described in the ‘Privacy’ and ‘Scanning’ sections below. You are also responsible for your attendees’ compliance with these terms and conditions. We may refuse entry or cancel registration for any attendee that does not comply.
CANCELLATION
We understand life happens. Here’s how cancellations and refunds work: You can transfer your INBOUND pass to someone at any time prior to the event. You can get a full refund on your pass until May 30, 2025 11:59 PM ET. After May 31, 2025 we will only provide a refund if you request a refund within 24 hours of purchase and before August 1, 2025.
In the unlikely event that we have to reschedule or cancel INBOUND, or if we have to change the format to a digital-only event, we’ll notify you by a public announcement on INBOUND.com, by email, and/or by other methods. If the event is canceled, your registration will also be canceled, and we’ll refund any registration fees received from you. If the event is rescheduled or changed to a digital-only format and you’re no longer able or wish to attend, you may cancel your registration by giving us written notice within two (2) weeks of receiving our notice. If you do not notify us of your cancellation within that time, you will not be eligible for a refund.
Other cancellation and refund rights depend on the specifics of your purchase.
To cancel your registration (and get your refund, if applicable), you will need to notify us in writing at help@inbound.com.
If you’re entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid for the registration(s) you cancel and will be refunded to your original payment method—we don’t issue checks for refunds. These cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason that you cancel (even if you, unfortunately, need to cancel for personal reasons or other reasons that are out of your control).
Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.
REGISTRATION TRANSFER
You have the option of transferring your pass to another person if you can no longer attend. Your pass can be transferred up until it is picked up onsite. Online accounts and wearable devices cannot be shared (we do not offer day passes, and your pass cannot be used onsite by another person).
You can transfer your own registration—or another that you purchased—by logging in to manage your registrations. You can find additional instructions here.
If you need assistance transferring a registration, you can contact us at help@inbound.com. In order to transfer a registration, you must be able to demonstrate to our satisfaction that you are the original registrant or purchaser, or that you are otherwise authorized to make changes to the registration.
Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for transferring your own hotel and travel reservations.
PRIVACY
Your privacy is important to us, so please read our full privacy policy here, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Registration data
We may share your registration data with our vendors in order to provide event information and help improve your experience at INBOUND or future HubSpot events. For example, if we offer a mobile app, we might make your data available to the mobile app provider so it’s accessible through the app. We may also share your registration data with providers related to INBOUND, like HubSpot, our registration service providers, and other vendors who work with us to make sure INBOUND is a great experience for you. By providing your registration data to us, you grant us permission to do these things.
What we will not do is sell, rent, or give your registration data to third parties. You have the option at registration to allow us to share your registration information (including your name, company, job title, work industry, and email) with INBOUND sponsors, and if you select this option, we’ll share your information with INBOUND sponsors so you can receive communications directly from them. You also may have the option of sharing your registration information directly with other attendees or sponsors through our mobile app or other online communities. If you choose to share (or allow us to share) your information, you understand that we do not control how other attendees or sponsors use your information. The important point here is that you can choose whether or not to share your information. If you believe a sponsor or other attendee has collected your information without your consent, please inform us immediately.
Location data
We may collect information (either directly or through our vendors) about your location and movement in the event area during the event, either through wearable devices (such as your event badge) and/or the INBOUND mobile app. We use this data to measure participant engagement, such as determining the number of people were present in a certain area. We will use this information in compliance with our privacy policy.
If you choose to connect your INBOUND profile to your wearable device, you may be able to access certain functions such as exchanging contact information with other attendees or gathering additional content from places you have been to and activities you have attended. If you don’t want to pair your wearable to your profile, your location data will still be collected but it will remain anonymous by not carrying any of your personal data.
Performance metrics
We may share performance metrics such as page views, clicks, and impressions with INBOUND sponsors or vendors to measure the performance of our INBOUND mobile app, content, and advertising. We will use this information in compliance with our privacy policy.
BEHAVIOR AND CONTENT
By registering for INBOUND, you agree to follow our Code of Conduct, which you can find here. Our Code of Conduct outlines the behavior we expect from everyone at INBOUND.
If we (in our sole discretion) determine that you are behaving in a manner that is—or could be—disruptive to the event or other attendees, or is in violation of our Code of Conduct or these terms, then we can limit your access or ban you from the event. If we do, you aren’t entitled to any form of refund or compensation. At our discretion, we may also ban you from future events for a definite or indefinite time period.
We encourage you to speak to event staff immediately about any individual you believe is acting in a manner that violates our Code of Conduct or these terms. You can also email conduct@inbound.com if you prefer to address an issue anonymously.
Drones are not allowed at the event. Hoverboards, rollerblades, roller skates, skateboards or other forms of recreational transportation devices are also not allowed at the event. This section doesn’t restrict you from using any required assistive device (like, a wheelchair, walker, or motorized scooter) if needed due to a disability or injury. Trained service animals (as determined by the Americans with Disabilities Act) are allowed, but no other animals are allowed into the venue. Please know that INBOUND does not provide push services for attendees and for safety reasons, requests to use other power-driven mobility devices will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you need any assistance getting around the event, you can find more information on how to request this at https://help.inbound.com/article/331-accessibility-guide-at-inbound or please contact us at help@inbound.com.
Unless you have the express prior written permission of the event producer, you may not bring to the event any of the following: any photography device which is designed for, or suitable for, any commercial purpose; selfie sticks; tripods; monopods; boom arms; or any device which could be used to mount or hold a photography device, or could be used to extend a person's reach. The event producer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to prohibit any device it believes may be used in violation of these terms, which it believes poses a safety risk, or which it believes may lessen the enjoyment of the event by others.
You’re invited—and indeed, encouraged—to meet and visit with all of the great companies who will be joining us as official sponsors and exhibitors at INBOUND. But keep in mind that “suitcasing” or “outboarding” is strictly prohibited at INBOUND.
The views or opinions expressed by any event attendee, speaker, or sponsor are not necessarily the views or opinions of INBOUND. All event attendees, speakers, and sponsors are responsible for their own content (including presentations, marketing collateral, advertising, and online web content). You are not allowed to use any content that infringes another party’s intellectual property rights, is harassing, misleading, or unlawful. To ensure a clear and focused event experience, you agree not to organize or host any events that may draw attendees away from or cause a conflict with INBOUND. You also agree that you won’t use the INBOUND name or the names of our sponsors (which includes HubSpot), without our written permission first.
WEARABLE DEVICES
All attendees at INBOUND must wear their name badge or other wearable device (such as wristbands) at all times while on the premises of the Moscone Center.
Onsite pickup
All attendees must pick up their wearable device at Registration at the Moscone Center. Your wearable device is your access to all things INBOUND.
To pick up your wearable device, all registration fees must be paid in full, and you’ll need to show a government-issued form of photo ID, like a driver’s license or passport. The name on your photo identification must match the name on your registration. If you’ve had a recent change in your name (like if you got married, for example) and your registration does not match your photo ID, please bring documentation of your name change and come see us at Registration Support.
Individuals must pick up their own wearable device. This means that you can’t have a coworker or friend pick up your wearable device for you (and vice versa—you can’t pick up theirs for them.)
If your wearable device is lost or stolen, you should notify us immediately by emailing help@inbound.com or letting a member of our onsite staff know. We will issue a replacement wearable device on a case-by-case basis and at our sole discretion. We may charge a fee of up to $50 for each wearable device we replace.
Scanning
Your wearable device may be actively or passively scanned as you enter certain sessions or when you access other areas and amenities at INBOUND. Among other things, this helps us to track and provide information on capacity, as well as make sure folks have the right access.
Our sponsors may have the option to scan your wearable device to retrieve the personal information that you provided at registration, including your name, company, and email address. If your data is collected by a sponsor—by scanning your wearable device or through any other means—it will be used and stored according to their privacy and data retention policies, which they should allow you to review before providing your data. You are never required to allow a sponsor to scan your wearable device, and if you’re not comfortable with any of their policies, you shouldn’t provide them with your data.
No wearable device transfer or resale
All wearable devices associated with purchased INBOUND passes are for use by the original authorized purchaser, their invited attendee(s) (in the case of group sales), or to the person the original registrant has transferred their INBOUND pass to. Once received, wearable devices are not transferable. Likewise, all wearable devices provided to speakers, production personnel, vendors, sponsors, and other guests of INBOUND are for use by those people only and are not transferable. Wearable devices obtained from unauthorized sources may be counterfeit and will not grant you access to INBOUND.
Wearable devices may not be sold, transferred, or used for any form of commercial or trade purposes, including but not limited to promotions, contests, commercial or advertising purposes, housing, hotels, vacation rentals, sweepstakes, charitable giveaways, or other activities without our prior written consent. No sponsorship, on-site marketing, sampling, vending, coupon/product distribution, or other promotional activity may be conducted at INBOUND (inclusive of parking lots), without our prior written approval in each instance. Any wearable devices used in violation of this provision shall be deemed revoked, and void, and their bearers deemed trespassers at INBOUND.
Resale or attempted resale of wearable devices is grounds for termination of your registration under this agreement and cancellation of the wearable device.
AGE LIMITATIONS
The age guidance for attending INBOUND is 18+. If you need to bring a child with you, please request a companion ticket by emailing help@inbound.com. Due to safety requirements, they must be registered for the event, and children must have a parent or guardian present at all times. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed into capacity-restricted sessions, VIP Party, INBOUND After Hours, or any venue-restricted areas such as loading docks and equipment storage areas.
INBOUND companion tickets will be the same ticket type as the requestor and are limited to 1 per attendee. Companion tickets are only valid for INBOUND-sanctioned events.
You have to be at least 21 years of age to drink alcohol, and you’ll show us a Government issued ID if we ask. Of course, all drinking should be done responsibly.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO, AND AUDIO RECORDING
Unless we notify you otherwise, then you’re permitted to take screenshots, photos, videos, or audio recordings (collectively, “recordings”) of most sessions at INBOUND, as long as you comply with these terms.
These recordings might include content or material that is protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other rights which we own or license. So, other than for your personal use, you are not allowed to copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute the recordings without our written permission.
We allow — and even encourage you — to disseminate the recordings through social media (like tweeting, or posting to Facebook or Instagram), as long as the clips aren’t more than one minute in length and you are otherwise in compliance with these terms. Here are a couple of examples of what’s allowed: tweeting “#INBOUND2025 = the best time ever!” with a picture of you or your team attending the event, or posting a photo of Yamini Rangan or Dharmesh Shah’s talk on Instagram. Here are a couple of examples of what’s not allowed: posting a live stream of a breakout session, and/or posting a recording on Facebook of one of our speakers after we announced that recordings aren’t allowed.
Now some important restrictions: you agree that you won’t use any recordings (1) in a way that is misleading or disparaging, (2) in a way that implies that the content of the recordings is your own, (3) for commercial purposes (this means, for example, you can’t sell them) or in a way that implies that we endorse, sponsor or approve of your business, services or products, or (4) in violation of applicable law (including but not limited to privacy laws) or in connection with an obscene, indecent, or unlawful topic or material. If we request that you discontinue the use of any recordings, you will immediately comply with our request. And, of course, if we do notify you that recordings aren’t allowed, then you agree that you won’t take any recordings.
Now about recordings, we can take: by attending INBOUND and related events, you consent to having your image, voice, likeness, presentation, and/or other copyrightable material recorded, including video, audio, and still photography. We reserve the right to use recordings taken at INBOUND and related events however we might choose to, without giving you notice or any compensation. We might use them, for example, in our press releases, marketing materials, or other publications.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
We want everyone to be safe at INBOUND — both in person and online — and we’re guessing you do too. By attending INBOUND in person, you understand we might randomly check bags or other personal belongings, and you agree not to leave any of these unattended at any time. You also understand you may be required to pass through security scanners whenever you enter the INBOUND space, and agree that you won’t bring anything to INBOUND that could cause a safety hazard.
All security concerns should be reported to INBOUND staff immediately by emailing conduct@inbound.com. Our security team may take whatever measures they deem appropriate without prior notice in order to aim to ensure the safety of attendees at INBOUND. You must comply with the direction of our security team, as well as all applicable rules and regulations.
Attendees and their belongings may be searched upon entry into INBOUND, and you, your Authorized Attendees, and Authorized Recipients consent to such searches and waive any related claims that might arise against INBOUND, its employees, and its agents related to such searches. If you or your Authorized Attendee or Authorized Recipient elect not to consent to such searches, or they may be denied entry into INBOUND.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
You understand and agree that there are certain risks of personal or property injury, illness, and/or death associated with attending INBOUND, including, without limitation, risks related to the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation or variation thereof, “COVID-19”). You understand and agree (a) that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other illnesses cannot be fully eliminated and is increased by proximity to other people, (b) that an inherent and elevated risk of exposure exists in any public place or place where people are gathered, (c) that attending INBOUND may involve coming into close contact with other people, (d) that there is no guarantee, express or implied, that you will not be exposed, and (e) that exposure can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, and other short-term and long-term health effects, including death.
Despite these risks, you voluntarily assume ALL known and potential risks and danger of injury and/or death from any cause, resulting from, in connection with, or incidental to INBOUND, including exposure to illnesses such as COVID-19. By accepting possession or by using any wearable device, you expressly assume all risks and dangers arising from or incidental to INBOUND, whether such risks occur before, during, or after the event, and agree that INBOUND, our employees, vendors, speakers, sponsors, and agents are not responsible for any such risks and dangers.
AGENDA AND LIABILITY
We might make updates to the agenda from time to time, which could include a change in speakers or the cancellation of certain sessions. We can’t promise the attendance of any speaker, entertainer, or presenter and won’t refund your registration or provide any other compensation based on changes to the agenda. We also can’t guarantee admission to any certain session, since all sessions are subject to capacity limits and availability.
INBOUND is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. If we are determined to have any liability to you, you agree our aggregate liability will be limited in all cases to one hundred dollars (US$100.)
FORWARD-LOOKING STATEMENTS
Presentations at INBOUND may include certain “forward-looking statements" within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, including statements concerning our position to execute our growth strategy in the mid-market, and our ability to expand our leadership position and market opportunity for our inbound platform. These forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, plans, objectives, expectations and intentions and other statements that may not be historical facts and statements identified by words such as "expects," "anticipates," "intends," "plans," "believes," "seeks," "estimates" or words of similar meaning.
These forward-looking statements reflect our current views about our plans, intentions, expectations, strategies, and prospects, which are based on the information currently available to us and on assumptions we have made. Although we believe that our plans, intentions, expectations, strategies, and prospects, as reflected in or suggested by those forward-looking statements, are reasonable, we can give no assurance that the plans, intentions, expectations, or strategies will be attained or achieved.
Furthermore, actual results may differ materially from those described in the forward-looking statements and will be affected by a variety of risks and factors that are beyond our control, including, without limitation, our history of losses; our ability to retain existing customers and add new customers; the continued growth of the market for an inbound platform; our ability to differentiate our platform from competing products and technologies; our ability to manage our growth effectively to maintain our high level of service; our ability to maintain and expand relationships with our marketing agency partners; our ability to successfully recruit and retain highly-qualified personnel; the price volatility of our common stock; and other risks set forth under the caption "Risk Factors" in our most recent Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q (or the most recent Annual Report on Form 10-K, if it’s more recent than the latest Form 10-Q), and our other SEC filings. We assume no obligation to update any forward-looking statements contained in this document as a result of new information, future events, or otherwise.
THESE TERMS
Please be aware that we may update and change any part or all of these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you first. If we update or change these Terms and Conditions, the updated Terms and Conditions will be posted at http://legal.hubspot.com/inbound-2025 (or another website we designate). The updated terms will become effective and binding on the next business day after they are posted. When we change these terms, the "Last Modified" date above will be updated to reflect the date of the most recent version. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. If you don’t agree to these terms, then you shouldn’t register for INBOUND.
That’s that! Now, let’s get out there and have some fun!
